*The Main Stacks is located on the middle part of the West Building. The entrance to the Main Stacks is arranged across the three rooms of the Library: Loan Desk (Closed Stacks)(Room K101)、Preserved Copies(Room 209)、Periodical Collections(Back Issues)(Room 409). Access to the collections moved into Main Stacks and Depository Library could vary according to document types and the needs of readers. The library staff strives to minimimize the influence of the renovations and takes the following measurements:

1.More desks and chairs for individual study are utilized in the corridors and atriums of the West Building  to maximize study space.

2.During the rebuilding  period, the network resources of Library will operate 7×24 hour opening . It is recommended that readers access the electronic resources owned by the Library.

3.Interlibrary Loan is a service for PKU faculty, staff and students. ILL service allows PKU Library users to borrow physical materials and obtain scans of articles or book chapters from other libraries and universities. During the refurbishment time, the ILL staff will help patrons expand access to materials  and resources both from our library and from other libraries with which we share interlibrary borrowing privileges.

Within a recent time frame of 3 months, We remain dedicated to providing library services to students, staff and faculty. The dust and noise will be controlled in a minimal influenced scope, that allows for a much smoother, less-harried transition period. Up-to-date information about the Library are expected to be issued throughout the stacks indicating the library relocation process and the specific locations of collections. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the relocation. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or if you need assistance locating materials in the collection or other services.
