From today, Foreign collections for Humanities & Social Sciences(originally located in Room E2-1) and Science &Technology(originally located in Room E3-1) are going to be  moved to  the Main Stacks . The library would provide closed stacks service for these collections. There are two ways to get the materials:

1.        Submit the request using the Libraries’ online reserve request system

Peking University Library's Third Search Talent Contest - Final and Lottery Results of "Open Data"

In order to make the teachers and students know more about open data resources, improve the practical skills of searching and using open data, stimulate innovation and promote interdisciplinary cooperation, the library takes "Open Data" as the new theme and held the third search Talent Contest ("open data") between Nov. 7 and Dec. 16.

PEKING UNIVERSITY LIBRARY has recently built an academic information portal based on OCEANOGRAPHY to support their discipline construction and development. The portal integrating various academic resources of oceanography, including the latest information, research hotspots and development reports as well as our own academic achievements in Peking University, is bound to strengthen the ability of demonstration and cohesive affinity of marine research.

According to the planning and construction of the library, the East Building of the Library will be renovated from March 2017 to April 2018 .During the course of the construction, reserves and equipment of the East Building would be replaced and the Library commits to retaining the high level of quality services that patrons have come to expect. Service items of the Reading Rooms in the East Building will be partially adjusted in order to support the libray relocation, from November 2016 onwards.
