收藏书刊14万册（其中3万册有关天文、大气的书刊存放理科楼，1万册俄文和日文书刊存放技物楼）。馆藏的中外文书刊几乎涵盖了物理学科的各个分支，其中物理学领域的名著、珍本著作2,158种；1900年以前出版的外文期刊20余种，涉及京师大学堂、老北大、老清华、燕京大学、西南联大等不同时期收藏的物理学科经典著作。
